Last week I worked on going over all the skills I learned throughout the course and strengthened them. I figured it wouldn't be the best to try and learn more new material so instead I just focused on what I knew. This week I am working on my final presentation. My plan is to make a poster board describing my purpose and additionally some basic concepts of the Russian language such as the alphabet and basic verb conjugations. Additionally to test my knowledge, I will make note cards that people can read off of so I can communicate back and forth with them.

This past week, I continued to work on speaking in a restaurant. I learned some basic phrases such as how to ask for a menu in English, how to ask for recommendations, and how to order. Additionally I began becoming familiar with the Russian alphabet and the specific pronunciations. Now that I'm doing it, I've found that it probably would've been easier to learn it right off the bat for it helps a lot with knowing how to say the words and how to read. Next week I plan to get better at the alphabet and reading and also expand my vocabulary on basic expressions and shopping.

The past week I have worked on how to ask for directions. I learned how to say phrases such as "I got lost ( ya pa-tye-ryá-las )," "I need to go...( mnye núzh-na v… )," To the left or right?..( na-prá-va í-li na-lyé-va?..), etc. Additionally I learned how to ask someone to show how to go somewhere on a map and how many minutes or blocks it will take. Next week I will work on how to ask for things in a restaurant.

This past week I worked on strengthening many of the concepts I already learned. Additionally I learned new verbs and their present conjugations; some of the verbs include "to do" and to "to see." Growing my knowledge of the basic platform of the Russian language, I learned how to ask what the time was and how to answer it. "Katoryj chas?,""Pyat chasof" (what time is it? It is 5 o'clock). Next week I will work of asking where things are and how to order at a restaurant.

Last week I worked on basic phrases and started learning the pronouns and conjugations for certain words. Some of the basic phrases include "how are you?,"'I'm good,"'what are you doing?,"'hello,"'goodbye" and many other basic conversational phrases. I learned I, you, he/she, we, they, and so one. To go with those pronouns i learned some of the conjugations to some verbs such as the verb 'speak'. For example, "I speak English" is "ya gavoryu po anglisky." This week's focus is more on conjugations and continuing to learn basic phrases.
